This year's list of 100 top meeting hotels revealed a slight shift away from major hotel brands and traditional conventional cities, mirroring a larger trend towards independent hotels and emerging destinations in the hospitality industry.
Major hotel brands are still capturing the majority of the U.S. meeting and convention sector but traditional convention cities are starting to lose ground, reveals data from event management platform Cvent. The company released a list of the 100 top U.S. meetings hotels in 2013, based on activity on the Cvent Supplier Network. Large hotel groups account for 54 of the 100 properties listed.
